"Greetings friend! I've been waiting for you... Tell me, how was your journey? It took you so long to reach that I thought you might have gotten lost! But truth be told, I knew you would reach here... After all, all roads lead to the manor!" He offers an airy laugh as he helps you up, leading you along. He continues on but the words don't reach through the pounding headache. Even your vision seems to flicker, and suddenly there's a look of concern on his face that brightens once more as he guides you along with no control of your limbs or voice, leading up to the large wooden doors that creak open for you. "... Hm? Me? I am the caretaker of this manor. The caretaker, if you will. You shall find respite here for as long as you'd like... Oh, but do mind the Lanternkeeper, will you? She's always trying to trick people." The doors slam shut behind you, and there is only the empty manor to greet you. It's an structural anomaly indeed, with with doors that open to brick walls and empty spaces, stairs that leave you bumping into the ceiling, and hallways that that seem to have no end. Yet it's also a place of respite, or so they say, and so a character's need is attended to. There is no shortage of food or rooms to rest in, medicine is freely supplied, and there's company to be had in the form of others who found themselves here. But the days are long and the nights are longer and far more perilous - the entire house seems to bend and warp, with traps set and things that shouldn't exist filling its halls, whispers and growls that fill ones ears - and the doors remain locked tight no matter how many times you pull on the handle. You are the manor's precious guest, and it will keep you here at any cost. Belgrave Manor is a panfandom horror mystery game where characters find themselves trapped within the walls of a mansion. The days are long and the nights even longer and far more perilous. With a heavy focus on exploration and player choices, characters must find their way deeper into the manor in order to uncover its mysteries and find a means of escape. | ||
